I also have Skryim, which has some graphics enhancing mods, and though I haven't played it extensively since installing the 7950, the only thing I had to do was turn down 'Distant Object Detail' to Medium keep the fps at 60. I can run Tomb Raider on Ultra settings, with everything maxed except TressFx hair, and the FPS never drops that low.
I don't have any mods installed right now that affect graphics. I've always had Depth of Field disabled, but left all the other options where the 'Ultra' preset put them.
In the strip and other places like the Lucky 38 penthouse, the frame rate drops down to near 50. So after upgrading from a Radeon 6870 to a my current card, I figured I could jack up the settings on Fallout: New Vegas, a four year old game, to Ultra and be able to sustain 60 fps at all times at 1080p.Īpparently that's not the case.
